Photon diffraction in autumn forest



Photon diffraction is a situation where photons travel through a material without being absorbed, but rather undergoing repeated scattering events which change the direction of their path.

A shadow of a solid object, using light from a compact source, shows small fringes near its edges consequence of the fact that light propagates as a wave.
