Selimiye Mosque Interior, Konya

Interior of Ottoman mosque made by Sultan Selim II and famous Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan in 16th century. Mimar Sinan strengthened the great basilica Hagia Sophia of Istanbul extensively with the addition of structural supports to its exterior when the signs of fatigue showed up. He is considered one of the world's first earthquake engineers.

Gümüsler Monastery at Cappadocia

Despite not knowing the precise foundation of the Gümüşler Monastery, it is supposed to have been built between 8th and 12th centuries. The monastery is carved out of a large rock church and is one of the best preserved and largest of its kind in the Cappadocia region.
